Overview
Enthusiast runs the same software as the Nomad Appliance, on hardware you supply. You prepare the server and flash the Sensa image, which runs Home Assistant OS. You get full Home Assistant access, and it is a semi-managed system: you look after your own updates, backups and hardware, while we manage remote access for you.
The hardware has to be dedicated to Sensa. Enthusiast is not the same as the DIY deployment, which installs Sensa on top of an existing Home Assistant.
Overall steps are as follows:
- Check your hardware against the supported list.
- Flash the Sensa image onto the server.
- Prepare any devices.
- Reconfigure
- Move on to Configure.
Support covers the Sensa software and the Sensa image. Your hardware, your updates and your backups are your responsibility.
