Relays

Relays provide the Switching capability within Sensa Nomad. Currently we support the following:

Waveshare ESP32-S3-ETH-8DI-8RO

This model and the -C variant are our recommended relays. They offer physical switch connectivity for those rare emergencies where your Sensa Nomad system is not running The main difference between this model and the -C variant is the RS485 connectivity.

Waveshare ESP32-S3-ETH-8DI-8RO-C

This model and the non -C variant are our recommended relays. They offer physical switch connectivity for those rare emergencies where your Sensa Nomad system is not running The main difference between this model and the no -C variant is the CAN connectivity. This model is useful if connecting to a CAN Bus, maybe a ROamer or Fogstar battery, both of which support both Bluetooth and CAN bus connection for BMS monitoring.
