Reading your design

After you press Generate, Studio shows the finished design: a set of diagrams, a shopping list, a total cost, and any warnings worth knowing about. Nothing here is fixed. Go back, change a device or a setting, generate again, and the whole page updates.

Diagrams

The design is drawn as a set of diagrams, each on its own tab, so you can look at one part of the system at a time. Every box is a real device, and you can hover over it to see its details.

• DC Power (Wired). The heart of the design: battery, sides, fuseboxes, converters, and the devices they feed. If a side of the vehicle has nothing on it, that side is left out, so a one-sided build stays simple.
• DC Power (Battery). Devices powered directly from a battery.
• Relays. Each relay and the devices it switches on and off.
• Network (Wired). The router, the switches, and everything connected by Ethernet.
• Network (WiFi). The devices that connect wirelessly instead.
• Bluetooth, Zigbee, Infrared. The wireless hub for each protocol and the devices that use it.
• CAN Bus. The wired link to CAN-capable batteries.
• AC Power. Present when your build includes mains-powered parts: the inverter, the consumer unit, and the AC devices.

You only see the tabs that apply to your build. A design with no Zigbee devices has no Zigbee tab.

Shopping list and cost

The shopping list is the full bill of materials for your design: the devices you chose plus the supporting parts Studio added for you. Anything you marked as already own is included in the design but left out of the cost, so the total reflects only what you still need to buy.

The header shows a single total for the whole build.

Warnings

Studio flags trade-offs and things to check. A caution message points at a possible issue (for example a cable run crossing the vehicle, or a load close to a limit). An information message explains a decision Studio made for you, such as why it added a particular part. They are there to help you make an informed choice, not to block you.

From the results page you can keep your design, send it on, or turn it into a PDF. See Saving and sharing your work.
